Our last day in Bali! We thought that the best way to spend that was by the beach so we headed back to Nusa Due, but this time thought we would try a different beach. Geger beach is a much quieter spot than the other Nusa Dua beach we went to, despite being next to a large hotel. We pitched up on the sun bed and jumped in the water - again, stunning clear water, fine sand etc. Lovely! It was made all the more scenic with a handful of colourful local fishing boats anchored on the beach.
The beach front cafe we were nearest had a very relaxed sort of vibes and I assume that is where the pack of dogs that were milling about, called home. There were 5 or 6 of them running about, jumping in the water and playing in the sand. It was quite nice to see. Half way through the afternoon we also saw local fishermen tending to their nets. It certainly felt a bit less touristy!
After sitting on the sun beds reading and having a bit of lunch we popped back in the water for another swim and then got out, got dried and dressed and headed to the 'Bali Collection' which is the cool shopping complex in Nusa Dua we went to last time. This time we had a bit more time so we mooched around some of the shops selling local crafts and produce and then had a bit of dinner. We sat outside close to a live singer with an acoustic guitar - it was a great atmosphere.
After dinner we carried on looking around and then grabbed a taxi back to the villa. It was the last late night dip in Bali. Sad times!
However, tomorrow we head off to Kuala Lumpur - which is definitely something to get excited about.
The beach. (Disgusting)
The boats. (Just bobbing)
The dogs. (Having a great time!)
The dinner. (Pork Steak with mushroom sauce with Asian veg)
The entertainment. (Playing a collection of songs by Adele, Ed Sheeran and other soft pop classics).
The painter. (When it says made in Bali, it is made in Bali)
The pool. (Bye bye)
